Heraclitus: The Philosopher Who Loved Change (Maybe Too Much)

Meet Heraclitus, the ancient Greek philosopher who basically said, “You can’t step into the same river twice” -because, well, everything’s changing all the time. He believed the universe was in a constant state of flux, and that fire was the ultimate symbol of life’s ever- changing nature.

While other philosophers looked for eternal truths, Heraclitus just shrugged and said, “Good luck with that.” He was known as The Dark Philosopher because his writings were deep, mysterious, and kind of moody -like a 500 BC version of a poetry- loving goth.

In short: Heraclitus taught us that change is the only constant – and probably would’ve loved memes about “personal growth.”
